Without a Script, Anthony Joshua Will Swiftly Knock Jake Paul Out - Hearn Asserts

I've got no substantial defense regarding Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul. It's insane the fact it's occurring and I feel the skeptics are correct.

But, we simply could not reject it. No fighter in their right mind would have declined. Anyone who says they'd refuse are utterly dishonest through their teeth.

We accepted a fight that we think is quite simple, will provide AJ a massive presence in the United States and one of the highest earnings.

The Plan Behind the Fight

Anthony Joshua was set to have a tune-up bout in November in Saudi Arabia - an eight-round contest versus a guy who was ranked about 100th in the world heavyweight division.

This was a chance to wrap the hands by his new training team, do the ringwalk and get some rounds in. Now, we are doing that same tune-up but for 50 times more money.

We possess a clear strategy planned - to knock Jake Paul out asap. Then, we return to normal service being resumed next year.

Joshua will box against a world-class fighter in February and - if all goes well - he will then face Tyson Fury.

So there's a method behind this craziness and taking this bout will not harm Joshua's legacy. However a loss against Jake or it even going the full distance would.

That would be a complete disaster and awfully humiliating.

This Bout Is Definitely Not Scripted

A great many people have come up to me asking if it's scripted. First of all, we would be investigated by authorities if it was. It would be against the law. This is a professional contest and a sanctioned bout where people are betting.

And do you think I would ever permit AJ to follow a pre-written plan involving Jake Paul? A plan where we could lose or even hold him up? Absolutely not.

We are certainly not giving this guy an edge or an opportunity to say "I told you I am superior to AJ" or "I took rounds from him". This would be catastrophic for Anthony Joshua and we're not going to take that risk.

Public Pressure for a Early Knockout

There are also those saying if Anthony Joshua does not stop him in the first round then it is an embarrassment.

He's expected to walk through this opponent but, blimey, allow him two or three rounds for safety. Since Jake's approach will reflect on the pace of destruction.

If he gets brave, it will all be over quickly. But if he is boxing on the back foot and attempting to tie him up and jab and move, then he might last a couple of rounds.

We will not see AJ run across the ring immediately and start windmilling.

Similar to his approach against Ngannou, he will go in there, size him up and then go in with his power shots.

Jake Paul Has the Ability to Punch a Little Bit

I've heard the likes of Roy Jones and Atlas stating you can't count Jake in this bout. Am I losing the plot here Is there anything they see that I'm not?

Let us be one thing right - Jake is a professional boxer. I think he's a decent cruiserweight - top 60 or 70 in the world.

This is not an individual that has not put on boxing gloves previously. He is able to whack with some power. He's sparring Lawrence Okolie and top-10 big men.

Forgetting the victory against Mike Tyson, who was then well past his prime, Jake did beat Chavez Jr - who may have been a done fighter but was not a complete mug.

He prepared for the fight and was a former world champion who went the distance against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and nearly stopped Sergio Martinez in the final round.

So I actually credit Jake Paul for training hard and showing respect for the sport of boxing and he has done a great deal for women's boxing with his Most Valuable Promotions.

Yet in spite of his self-belief, passion, commitment and improved skills, he ought to be getting iced by Anthony Joshua.

The Moment AJ Lands, It's Over

Jake and his team are banking on many things. Banking on AJ underestimates him, hoping AJ is shot, hoping AJ's lack of activity will be a factor, banking on AJ is low in self-belief, hoping AJ's durability isn't what it once was.

However, to their misfortune, AJ is extremely switched on. He has completed a camp and he's training like he's fighting Oleksandr Usyk or in a Dubois second fight.

I anticipate my fighter to triumph within two rounds via a brutal KO.

He could hit Jake to the midsection and he would break his rib cage and he wouldn't be able to rise.

If he hits him clean, he will knock him to sleep. Alternatively the referee.

We don't know exactly how it will unfold however given how AJ punches - with his speed and destruction - the instant Jake is hit clean, the contest will end.

Then the focus returns to AJ's two goals he aims to accomplish in the time he has left in boxing - to face Fury and to be crowned a three-time world heavyweight champion.
