The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

The rising star has considerable social media following

Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent supporters when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.

This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several golf courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa basically advised me to play and relax," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has played in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He is the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.

"And he's an even better person. He advised me to compete, have fun, and go with whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, especially among younger fans.

The young star boasts substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
