Salah Issues Apology to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the team after the uproar from his recent interview.

The Incident

Salah was left out from a European match after making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had soured.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

The head coach has chosen not to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

Moving Forward

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

He also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.

“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, performing and starting to win games.”
