FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
