Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old during his detention this past winter within the occupied West Bank, where he was visiting from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

United States authorities applauded Mohammed's liberation.

Mohammed, now 16, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.

They said he is showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"At this moment, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

The state department said it would continue to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to the state department and the administration, requesting additional efforts to release him.

Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his son only confessed regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

The father hadn't visited nor direct contact since the arrest, learning information solely about his son's condition in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced the family would also continue fighting demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities died from beating by radical settlers during a confrontation last July.

At the time, the Israeli military said they were examining accounts of a Palestinian had died.

The two cousins were employed together within the family's frozen treats establishment in Tampa, Florida.

No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.
