The "Taken" star has provided his vocal talents to a recent film that casts doubt on the safety of vaccines and commends ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a well-known publication published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for assertions that the virus was linked to a problematic version of the influenza shot.
The book's co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. He recently posted celebrating Neeson's participation in the project.
Representatives for Liam Neeson have issued a response firmly refuting claims that he supports anti-immunization views.
"Everyone can acknowledge that unethical practices may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be confused with rejection of vaccines," the response states. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response noted that the actor had no hand in the film's editorial content and that inquiries about its content ought to go to the filmmakers.
As presented, the script provided by Neeson makes several provocative points:
The film further cites a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.
Last month, Kennedy instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This assertion is also referenced in the film, even with a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no evidence has been found.
Contrasting the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.
In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."
The film ends with Neeson's voice saying, "This marks not the conclusion of our narrative. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
